Since they are a natural product, no two cowhide rugs are ever identical. Each hide differs from another in size, color, hue, and pattern.
Hide rugs are a natural product and can sometimes have a few scratches, firebrands, slight discoloration in some areas and/or blemishes. These are not defects but rather marks of authenticity of a hide that has been shaped by nature and not designed and mass produced in a factory.

Care and maintenance of hair-on cowhide rugs is simple and hassle free. The rug can be vacuumed on a weekly basis to remove dust and loose hair. In case of any spillage on the hide, wiping with a wet cloth and a mild detergent should do the job. In very humid environments, it is recommended to lay the hide out in the sun once or twice a month.
